Toys 'R' Us Newtownabbey store launch closing down sale

Toys 'R' Us in Newtownabbey has launched their closing down sale.

As the American toy retailer in Belfast begins it's journey to bring the store to a close, everything in the store has been marked down.

In December, Toys 'R' Us had announced plans to transform the business to meet customer needs in today's UK retail market.

By instigating a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), the company sought creditor approval to reposition its real estate portfolio for future growth and profitability.

With the closure of the Newtownabbey branch, this leaves Belfast with only a 'Pop-Up' store at Castlecourt shopping centre which is to remain open for business as normal.

Alan Brown, Store Manager at Toys 'R' Us Belfast Newtownabbey said: "There are plenty of bargains to be had in store, everything is now reduced by up to 30% on shelf price.

"If you are looking for toys or expecting a baby then head to the store now, everything must go."

Alan Brown added: "We will continue trading from this location until the Spring 2018 and would like to invite all our customers to visit us one last time, you would be more than welcome to browse."
