Independent News & Media (INM) has named Michael Doorly as interim group chief executive officer (CEO).
He will take up his role with immediate effect.
It follows the departure of Robert Pitt.
Mr Doorly has been with INM for over 20 years, and has held a number of senior executive roles, most recently as company secretary and chief risk officer.
Before joining INM, he worked in Technicon Ireland (now Bayer Diagnostics) and KPMG.
A graduate of UCD, Mr Doorly is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Director.
INM’s Chairman, Leslie Buckley, said: “On behalf of the Board, I wish Michael every success in his new role and very much look forward to working with him in driving the business forward.”
