Money vanishes from hundreds of Ulster Bank accounts in the Republic
Customers in Northern Ireland have not been affected
Hundreds of Ulster Bank customers in the Republic have reported money vanishing from their account since the weekend, including monthly salaries.

Independent.ie reports the bank has offered emergency cash of up to €500 for those who need it.
An urgent investigation is underway with IT staff working through the night to resolve the problems by Wednesday morning.
A spokesman for Ulster Bank said no customers had been affected in Northern Ireland.
Startled customers took to social media to complain after the money disappeared, many of them left unable to pay direct debits.
Others had their cards declined when trying to make purchases.
One customer commented: “My April salary was paid last Friday but today it has disappeared.”
“I have just had my card declined. I am getting no answer on the phone, every penny gone from both accounts. Ulster bank did not reach out to customers, I have direct debits due today and no money at all... as soon as this is sorted I am changing banks.”
Another stated: “My salary has disappeared from my account today and my wife had her card declined when trying to pay for a GP visit and medication. Extraordinary how often this kind of issue happens with this bank. Time to change to a competitor I think.”
An Ulster Bank spokesperson said some transactions previously applied to customers’ accounts since April 20 are no longer showing.
"We are investigating this issue as a matter of urgency and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The bank also promised that no customers would be left "out of pocket".
In 2012 a major technical glitch left large numbers of Ulster Bank customers in the Republic with no access to their money for weeks.
The IT failure resulted in a €5 million fine from the Central Bank of Ireland at the time.
Its parent group, Royal Bank of Scotland, was also fined €64m by UK regulators.
Further IT outages from Ulster Bank have been reported since then, with unions blaming some of the problems on under-investment in its systems and the outsourcing of some tasks to Asia.
