Highlighting the Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assurance Scheme (NIFQAS) and its recently extended education programme will be the focus for the Livestock and Meat Commission (LMC) at the Armagh County Agricultural Show this Saturday (June 11).

LMC is looking forward to welcoming stakeholders and members of the public to its stand at the Armagh County Agricultural Show,” said Lauren Patterson, marketing and communications manager, LMC.

“Events such as this not only showcase the very best of local livestock, crafts and food, but bring farm families, stakeholders and the general public together in one space, helping to foster a greater understanding of the farm to fork journey of local produce.

“For LMC local agricultural shows provide a unique platform for engagement at various levels. From industry stakeholders through to the consumer, there are important conversations to be had about farming, food and the future of our agri-food industry in Northern Ireland.

“At Armagh Show, LMC will be proud to champion the Commission’s ongoing work within the industry, including the NIFQAS and the Commission’s successful and recently extended education programme. The team will be on hand throughout the day to engage with visitors.”
