Millar Moo flavoured milk secures deal with Iceland

Dunmurry-based Clarke Millar Foods has gained a listing to supply all four lines of the popular flavoured milk drink Millar Moo to more than 30 Iceland stores in Northern Ireland.

Already stocked by Iceland in the Republic of Ireland, the Strawberry, Ice Café Latte, Chocolate and Banana variants of the low-fat milk drink are supplied in handy recyclable 500ml bottles.

“Winning this new business with this hugely successful and progressive retailer is a marvellous boost which gives us a presence in most centres throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic,” said Clarke Millar, owner. “Millar Moo is becoming among the most popular drinks in the flavoured milk category. Our Millar Moo drinks are richly flavoured and environmentally friendly due to our use of recyclable glass bottles.”

The company has also gained significant business in Britain through a deal with discounter Poundland for its full Millar Moo range.

Millar formed the company in 2012, with a focus on the manufacture of convenience foods as well as providing contract manufacturing and distribution services to other producers.

Under the Mulligan’s brand, the business produces burgers, hot dogs and wraps, including a chicken variety which recently secured business with Sainsbury’s in Northern Ireland.

A number of products, including the wraps and Millar Moo milks are supplied to SPAR and EUROSPAR stores in Northern Ireland through the Henderson Group.

Other popular brands supplied to customers throughout the island of Ireland and Great Britain, meanwhile, include Zumi orange beverage and Anytime convenience omelettes.
