A young US software company has become the latest technology firm to create employment in Belfast with 71 new jobs.
Vello Systems Inc - based in Menlo Park California - develops specialised business software.
Half of the jobs will be in software engineering working on research and development.
The remainder will carry out a range of marketing, customer service and business development activities.
Karl May from Vello said the firm decided to add to its already established Belfast office as it was "greatly impressed".
"Our client base already includes some highly influential financial services companies which demand only the most advanced and effective technology available," he said.
"Northern Ireland will allow us to capitalise on the opportunities for our products in that sector and provides us with a location close to target markets in Europe."
Enterprise minister Arlene Foster said the jobs could generate over £2.4 million a year in salaries.
The announcement comes just after the region's credentials as a tech-hub were bolstered with another massive jobs boost for the sector.
US-owned Allstate announced it was expanding its three operations in Belfast, Londonderry and Strabane with 650 new IT positions.
