If you are searching for an affordable van for your business but hoping not to spend a small fortune, the Citroën Dispatch 1.9-litre diesel priced at only £1,450 is likely to attract your interest. First registered in 1999 this van offers cost effective transport at a very agreeable price.

Citroën is amongst the best manufacturers of diesel engines and you can look forward to reliable and economic transport when purchasing this fine van which is finished in white. The Dispatch is also extremely spacious while its boxy shape and twin side loading doors allows for easy access to the load area. See this Citroën Dispatch by visiting Cameron Commercial at 188 Largy Road in Ahogill or for more information go to

Next we turn our attention to the 2005 Renault Kangoo SL17 dCi 70 diesel which is recognised as one of the best compact vans in the business. The Kangoo is highly nimble with composed handling. It’s well-built and pleasantly styled with engines that are better for economy than performance. The Kangoo’s underpinnings are borrowed from Renault’s Scenic passenger car and these origins are felt out on the road. The ride is more compliant and forgiving over the worst surface imperfections than you would expect in a compact van.

The Renault Kangoo you can currently see advertised by Donnelly & Taggart Peugeot (Campsie) on nicarfinder is in excellent condition throughout. It’s finished in White and comes with a Grey cloth interior, five-speed manual transmission, driver’s airbag, remote central locking, a multi-function computer, power steering and a stereo radio/ CD player. A price tag of £4,594 seems very reasonable so contact the dealership by visiting their site on the Campsie Industrial Estate in Eglinton or online at

Perhaps you are searching for a vehicle with two wheels rather than four? If that’s the case nicarfinder is currently featuring a nice 2003-registered Kawasaki ZX636, a much admired and respected machine offering plenty of power, superb handling characteristics and tenacious grip. Its engine provides an astonishingly broad spread of power from only 6,000rpm and to sum up this motorcycle offers a very good all-round sporting package. What’s more, the machine currently on show is in terrific condition with a low 18,600 miles on the clock, and it’s now available at Charles Hurst Motorcycles at 62 Boucher Road in Belfast for only £3,399. Motorhome holidays are becoming extremely popular these days. The trouble is that if you are on a bit of a tight budget it is often a bit tricky to find an affordable motorhome, particularly one that is in excellent condition externally, internally and mechanically.

Abbey Caravans & Leisure Ltd in Newtownabbey is currently offering an Autohomes Highwayman five-berth motorhome registered in 1991. Based on the Talbot Express van this motorhome offers a considerable amount of living space and no fewer than five berths. Stowage provision is generous, there’s a reasonably well-equipped kitchen on board and plenty of room for comfortable dining.

Throughout its entire living space you can easily tell that this motorhome has been much loved and appreciated and 78,000 miles is very low for the vehicle’s age. It comes with service history and a price tag of only £6,995. So, if you have been promising yourself a motorhome but think that you can’t afford one, well think again. Visit Abbey Caravans & Leisure Ltd at 285-291 Shore Road, Newtownabbey to see this fine motorhome. Of course, you can also contact them

Finally for this week we take a look at the Skoda Roomster Scout. The Scout is fairly easy to differentiate from the standard Roomster models due to that raised ride height and also the side body mouldings, roof rails and fog lights. Thankfully Skoda hasn’t been tempted to really go overboard with the 4x4 styling cues which would have lent this car something of a bogus appeal, the Czech company staying just the right side of the line in this key regard.

Inside the Scout, there’s special upholstery, branded floor mats, tinted glass, a tyre pressure monitor, electronic stability control and a leather three-spoke steering wheel and gearknob, as well as an aluminium pedal set.

If you fancy an affordable compact van-based MPV then you probably wish it was a little less, well, van-like. In which case you’re probably going to like the Skoda’s Roomster Scout. It’s a competitor in this sector, sure, but without the commercial vehicle origins.

The Roomster Scout is a car of two halves - or ‘rooms.’ The ‘Driving Room’ is the area occupied by the driver and front passenger and it feels very much like that of a conventional family hatchback. The driving position is comfortable, with a good degree of adjustment and much less upright than in most MPV products. Quality materials have also been used and build quality is strong.

The rear seating has also been thoughtfully designed and the 450-litre boot (which can be increased in size to 1,780 litres with the seats taken out) is huge. Mervyn Stewart on Boucher Road in Belfast have an ex demonstrator Skoda Roomster Scout 1.9 TDi PD diesel with only 400 miles on the clock. Finished in Metallic Satin Grey this car comes comprehensively equipped with rear wiper, air conditioning, electrically-adjustable, heated door mirrors, height adjustable driver’s seat, folding rear seats, a stereo radio/CD player, rear headrests, steering wheel reach adjustment, 3x3 point rear seat belts, steering wheel rake adjustment, driver, passenger and side airbags, front electric windows, alloy wheels, an immobiliser and alarm, ABS brakes, useful roof rails, front fog lights, front head restraints, remote central locking, trip computer, body coloured bumpers, rear armrest and power assisted steering. You can save a considerable sum of the Skoda Roomster Scout’s list price by opting to purchase this model for £10,695. Contact Mervyn Stewart at 11 Boucher Road in Belfast or have a look at
