Czech out Skoda's Superb new tech including driver assists and comfort features

Skoda's Superb family saloon has been given a new range of infotainment systems, driver assists and comfort features.

Skoda has updated the Superb and Superb Estate, including the addition of Skoda's Care Connect emergency assistance feature, which now comes as standard on cars in Ambition trim level and up.

Care Connect can contact the emergency services if a restraint system is triggered - or users can press a button in a roof panel.

In addition, remote access to the vehicle is now possible via the Skoda Connect App. The smartphone can inform the driver, among other things, whether the windows and doors are closed or the lights are off.

The parking position function shows the location of the vehicle, the 'Honk & Flash' function makes it easier to find the car by activating the horn and hazard lights. Another feature added is Park Distance Control system with extended function Manoeuvre Assist.

This stops drivers denting their car while parking with warning signs and automatic braking if necessary.

The Columbus and Swing nav system displays have grown by up to 2in.
