Ghibli GranLusso: Maserati unveil new executive saloon
Maserati has unveiled its new Ghibli executive saloon.
The Italian manufacturer showcased the car at the Chengdu Motor Show in China.
It was revealed in GranLusso and Gransport trims, continuing the strategy introduced in the Quattroporte model a year earlier.
The new Ghibli GranLusso underlines "luxury and elegance" and includes an enhanced exterior finish and a rich interior with Ermenegildo Zegna silk upholstery.
The Ghibli GranSport was conceived to "reflect Maserati's sports heritage" and features a more aggressive exterior design and a unique interior.
Both GranLusso and GranSport trims are available as an upgrade for all Ghibli four powertrain versions and feature a range of extras including integrated vehicle control and electric power steering.
The integrated vehicle control is a new function that enhances the car's driving dynamics for better performance.
The Maranello-built Ferrari 3.0-litre V6 twin turbo engine fitted on the Ghibli S and S Q4 delivers 20hp more power and 30Nm more torque than the previous unit.
