Rubicon Recon: Jeep's new limited-edition to the Wrangler line-up

It might be difficult to pronounce, but it looks a bit of a corker.

Jeep's new limited-edition Wrangler Rubicon Recon is a range-topping addition to the Wrangler line-up.

Jeep says the new model has had more than a cosmetic makeover and boasts extra mud-plugging abilities due to the addition of new parts, including a stronger front axle and heavy-duty cast rear differential covers.

The manufacturer adds that the Rubicon Recon "brings to the most capable production vehicle in the world even greater capability, including more protection from the most severe, rugged off-road terrain".

It comes in two and four-door spec and is powered by Jeep's 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine, delivering 284 horsepower, mated to an automatic gearbox.

It costs from £40,505 and went on sale across the UK last week.
