Vauxhall's new sporty Insignia raring to go this September
Vauxhall has introduced a new 257bhp GSi model to its popular Insignia range.
The powerful offering includes modifications to the chassis and four-wheel drive ability.
It will be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
To set the performance-based model apart from standard Insignias, it gets sporty design additions like twin exhausts, optional 20-inch alloys, special Michelin sport tyres and more.
There are changes in the engine department too, with a new 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo dropped in under the bonnet. This powerplant outputs 257bhp and comes connected to a new eight-speed automatic gearbox that can be operated via handy paddle shifts.
In the inside are leather sports seats, a leather sports steering wheel and aluminium pedals. The GSi is also 160kg lighter than the comparable Insignia, which helps to create a good deal more traction and leads to faster times on the race track.
Drivers can choose from three key driving modes: standard, tour and sport.
Vauxhall has also developed a fourth setting exclusively for the Insignia GSi, named Competition.
