Belfast Festival at Queen’s: Dublin Gospel Choir

Packed full of true gospel classics and some surprising favourites, May Street Church will reverberate to the hand clapping, foot stomping sound of Dublin Gospel Choir.

From their modest beginnings as a local school choir in Dublin’s inner city 14 years ago, they have become a household name.

The choir’s appeal is much broader than just a religious audience. Collaborations with Damien Rice and John Legend have also won them a much younger audience and they performed with Rod Stewart at the RDS Arena in Dublin.

2010 looks set to be their busiest year to date, with a set of UK and European dates coming hot on the heels of their new album, Doing Their Thing.
