Hollywood star Kenneth Branagh to land in Belfast for new movie opening
Oscar-nominated actor and director Sir Kenneth Branagh is coming to Belfast for the opening of his new film.
Kenneth Branagh directs and stars in All Is True, a poignant look at the final days in the life of William Shakespeare from a screenplay by Ben Elton.
The Belfast-born actor will attend a sold-out screening of All Is True at 11am, followed by a Q&A on Saturday, February 9 at Queen's Film Theatre.
Branagh stars as William Shakespeare, alongside Judi Dench, who plays Shakespeare's wife, Anne, and Ian McKellen as the Earl of Southampton.
Haunted by the death of his only son Hamnet, Shakespeare struggles to mend the broken relationships with his wife and daughters and is forced to examine his own failings as husband and father. His very personal search for the truth uncovers secrets and lies within a family at war.
