Adrian Dunbar is revelling in Line of Duty role

By Staff Reporter

Northern Ireland actor Adrian Dunbar has spoken of the challenges he faces while playing the upright Superintendent Hastings in the gripping BBC police drama Line of Duty.

"There are flaws in everybody, which is why taking the moral stance is so difficult, particularly for him because he knows he has flaws and there are things that he's weak with," the 57-year-old Enniskillen-born actor told ITV's This Morning.

"You will see more of his flaws during series three. On a personal level too - a relationship develops between him and Jill Bigelow who's been sent in as a civil legal worker.

Line of Duty airs on Thursdays at 9pm on BBC2.
