Angelina Jolie among A-listers attending Film Baftas
The film ceremony, hosted by Joanna Lumley, takes place at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lawrence, Lupita Nyong’o, Daniel Day-Lewis, Gary Oldman and Orlando Bloom are among the stars attending this weekend’s Baftas, organisers have announced.
The glitzy film ceremony, hosted by Joanna Lumley, takes place at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Nominees confirmed so far include Day-Lewis, Jolie and Oldman, as well as Annette Bening, Jamie Bell, Hugh Grant, Sally Hawkins, Armando Iannucci, James Ivory, Allison Janney and Daniel Kaluuya.
Others include Lesley Manville, Frances McDormand, director Christopher Nolan, Florence Pugh, Margot Robbie, Sam Rockwell, Saoirse Ronan, Kristin Scott Thomas, Aaron Sorkin and Octavia Spencer.
Presenters and other attendees confirmed include Bloom, Nyong’o and Lawrence.
Gemma Arterton, Sam Claflin, Bryan Cranston, Natalie Dormer, Taron Egerton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Naomie Harris, Salma Hayek, Isabelle Huppert, Lily James, Will Poulter, Andrea Riseborough and Rachel Weisz are also due to attend.
Sir Ridley Scott will be honoured with the Bafta Fellowship.
Casey Affleck, who won a Bafta last year for Manchester By The Sea, is not on the list of attendees so far.
In 2010, Affleck was sued by two women for alleged sexual harassment before the lawsuits were settled out of court.
He has vehemently denied the sexual harassment claims which were alleged to have happened during the making of the film I’m Still Here.
