Aniston: I won't watch Oscar noms
Jennifer Aniston has revealed she will not be waking up to see the Oscar nominations.
The former Friends star is being tipped to receive a nod for best actress for her performance in Cake when the Academy Awards nominations are announced later today (January 15).
But the 45-year-old actress admitted she will be sleeping during the big announcement, telling E! News: "I'll be in bed. I'll be in bed with my beloved [Justin Theroux] and my dogs dreaming wild little dreams."
She added: "I'm not going to torture myself. My phone rang yesterday at five o'clock in the morning and I was like, 'What's happening? Who's dead... is today Thursday?'."
Jennifer went almost bare-faced and had prosthetic scarring across her face and body, to play a woman suffering from chronic pain and addicted to prescription painkillers following an accident, in Cake. She has already received a Golden Globe nomination, although she lost out to Julianne Moore, and is up for a Critics' Choice Award and a Screen Actors Guild gong.
While Jen plans to skip the announcement, her producing partners are poised and ready to receive good news.
Director Daniel Barnz told The Wrap: "I can't imagine we are actually going to be asleep," while producer Mark Canton added: "I'm waking up early. I may not even go to sleep. I'm doing the right dance and the right chants."
