Michael Bay has signed up Kyle Ward to write the script on Cosmic Motors.

The director and producer - who has hinted he is ready to move on from directing on the Transformers franchise - recently signed up to adapt Daniel Simon's book about futuristic vehicles for the big screen

The new project is gaining momentum as Variety reports that Michael has hired Kyle - who is currently working on Arabian Knights and penned the script for Underworld V - to write the screenplay.

The book features a range of spaceships, race cars and motorcycles, which are produced by the fictional Cosmic Motors company in the Galaxion galaxy. Each vehicle is accompanied by a back story that hints at the sci-fi world that Cosmic Motors is a part of.
