Belfast-based production company, Stellify Media, has launched its annual summer internship.
The scheme will aim to help one lucky student looking to launch their careers in the TV industry with the production company behind revamped hit shows Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and Blind Date.
The paid internship runs from mid-June through to the start of September, with the successful candidate enjoying a summer in Stellify Media’s development team and production teams to gain first-hand experience of all aspects of TV production.
All students currently enrolled on a media course within the province are eligible to apply to the scheme, which has the full support of all course tutors and trade body NI Screen.
All candidates must be 18 and over, interested in pursuing a career in TV Production and currently studying a media based qualification.
The scheme is being headed up by Stellify’s Tom Popay (Head of Development) and Vikkie Taggart (Head of Operations).
Mr Popay said: “Having started my own career in TV through an internship I know how valuable they can be in helping young people break into the industry.
"Many people don’t even know there are jobs in TV production, let alone where they can get advice or experience working for a producer.
"Stellify remains fully committed to finding and nurturing a new generation of passionate, skilled and hardworking talent so we’re very excited to be launching this new initiative.”
