Scott Caan is in talks to step in for Shia LaBeouf in comedy Rock The Kasbah.
The Hawaii Five-O actor is said to be in negotiations to replace the former Transformers star in Barry Levinson's ensemble comedy, after Shia left the role in reportedly amicable circumstances, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Zooey Deschanel, Kate Hudson and Danny McBride are among the star-studded cast who have signed on.
Bill will play a washed-up music manager, who finds himself lost, penniless and passport-less in Kabul, Afghanistan. When he discovers a young girl with an extraordinary voice, he decides to mentor her through the country's version of American Idol, the talent show Afghan Star.
Scott's character would be an ammo-dealing conman, who hustles Bill's alter-ego in the war-zone with his partner, played by funnyman Danny.
Scott, the son of actor James, appeared in Entourage, Gone In 60 Seconds and Ocean's Twelve. He is set to reprise his role as manager Scott Lavin in the Entourage movie alongside co-stars Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara and Jeremy Piven.
