Christine Bleakley looking forward to lie-ins after Daybreak axe
Axed Daybreak presenter Christine Bleakley revealed she is looking forward to letting her “hair down” when she bows out of the show next week.
She and co-host Adrian Chiles will host their last edition of ITV1's breakfast show on Monday.
Bleakley (32) said she is relishing the prospect of enjoying her evenings again instead of going to bed early.
She said: “I won't miss the 3am starts, I'm going to be honest with you. Or going to bed early, either!
“It will be nice to let my hair down a bit more and enjoy life more now that time schedules will be different.” Bleakley — who is engaged to Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard — revealed she is hoping to be taken out to dinner more now.
She told the Press Association: “It's not even partying — going out for dinner is my favourite thing in the whole world. It could be to the local Chinese or some fancy place or anything inbetween. I just love that whole experience, I love my food.”
The Northern Irish star (right) said she was fond of the Daybreak team and that she will be taking advantage of her lie-ins to watch the show from her bed.
She said: “I'm going to miss the people in the morning, we have a brilliant little bunch.”
Bleakley is taking over from Holly Willoughby as the co-host of Dancing On Ice in the new year.
“I'm looking forward to January,” she added.
