Crowe tackles Shannon in Superman
Russell Crowe has revealed he gets a fight scene with Michael Shannon in Man Of Steel.
The Australian star, who plays Superman's biological father Jor-el, tweeted that he has spent hours working on a scene with the Boardwalk Empire actor, who has been cast as villain General Zod in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot.
"15km bike ride, umpteen hours fighting Michael Shannon. He's very hard to put down," Russell wrote.
"Hard to tell who wins, we are still fighting tomorrow," he teased.
There have already been some leaked photos of Russell's costume, and speculation is rife that the fight will take place on the alien planet of Krypton, where Superman was born.
Henry Cavill will take the title role, alongside Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Christopher Meloni.
Man Of Steel is scheduled for a June 2013 release.
