Cuaron checks into Shining prequel?
Alfonso Cuaron is rumoured to be directing horror thriller The Overlook Hotel.
The Oscar-winning Gravity filmmaker is thought to be in the frame to take the reins on the Warner Bros film, reported The Tracking Board.
The horror movie, described as a prequel to Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, is being written by The Walking Dead's showrunner Glen Mazzara.
Alfonso, who also directed Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban, Children Of Men and Y Tu Mama Tambien, is also in talks to direct the Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.
The Mexican filmmaker, who won best director for his space drama Gravity, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, is to direct animated family-fantasy film Tales From The Hanging Head.
He is also set to produce the big screen adaptation of Roald Dahl's book The Witches, which is being directed by Guillermo del Toro.
