Cumberbatch, Witherspoon get steamy
Benedict Cumberbatch and Reese Witherspoon have got intimate with each other, but their respective other halves needn't worry.
The pair share a steamy kiss for the New York Times Magazine's series of romantic vignettes, which feature a series of nine videos starring 18 of 2014's top actors and actresses.
Both Reese and Benedict are spoken for in real life, with the Wild actress married to talent agent Jim Toth, while the Sherlock star is engaged to theatre director Sophie Hunter.
Other celebrities who get passionate for the magazine's campaign include Timothy Spall and David Oyelowo, Shailene Woodley and Jack O'Connell, Kristen Stewart and Chadwick Boseman and Steve Carell with Laura Dern.
Rosario Dawson shares a kiss with Jenny Slate, Julianne Moore dances with an amorous John Lithgow, and Jason Schwartzman is chivalrous with Patricia Arquette, as Gugu Mbatha-Raw plants a peck on Miles Teller's cheek.
Directed by commercial and feature film director Elaine Constantine, each of the nine vignettes have no dialogue, instead letting these talented performers' lips, and the atmosphere, do the talking.
