Cusack and Patric for The Prince

John Cusack is set to star in action thriller The Prince.

The Raven star is the latest addition to the cast alongside Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson and Johnathon Schaech in Brian A Miller's upcoming film, reported Deadline.

Jason Patric is portraying a retired mob enforcer who has to return to Las Vegas and face his former rivals when his teenage daughter goes missing. He will go head to head with Bruce Willis, who will play one of his enemies with a score to settle as he waits for his return.

John is tipped to play Jason's friend, a former mob associate who claims to have cleaned up his act, while Johnathon has been cast as a drug dealer nicknamed The Pharmacist.

Gia Mantegna and South Korean actor-singer Rain also have supporting roles in the thriller, which will start shooting in Alabama in December.

John, who played former US President Richard Nixon in Lee Daniels' The Butler and serial killer Robert Hansen in The Frozen Ground, has a number of big-screen outings coming up, including Maps To The Stars alongside Julianne Moore and Robert Pattinson, and Love And Mercy, a biopic of Beach Boys frontman Brian Wilson.
