Daniel Radcliffe says he might return to Harry Potter - in 10 or 20 years

Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he would consider going back to the role of Harry Potter in "10 or 20 years".

The actor, who starred in the blockbuster movie franchise, said he was reluctant to "close a door" on his time as the boy wizard.

His comments came as speculation mounts that stage play Harry Potter And The Cursed Child could be made into a movie.

Radcliffe, 27, told The Sun: "It is a tricky one. You never want to close a door on anything, especially something that has been so good to me.

"At the moment I am definitely not at a stage where I would feel comfortable going back to it, who knows in 10 and 20 years if I would feel differently about that.

"And I think I have still got a little while for me to be age appropriate for this Harry."

The Cursed Child revisits the story of Harry Potter 19 years on from the conclusion of the final novel.

Harry, now a Ministry of Magic employee and a father of three, is played by Jamie Parker.

Harry Potter author JK Rowling tweeted earlier this year in response to a fan excited about rumours of a movie: "You heard wrong, I'm afraid. #CursedChild is a play."

However, in July, film studio Warner Bros filed an application for a Cursed Child trademark.
