GI Joe 3 could be finding a director in DJ Caruso.
The 49-year-old filmmaker, who previously directed Disturbia, Eagle Eye and I Am Number Four, is said to be in discussions to take the reins on Paramount's third instalment of the action movies.
Jon M Chu, who directed the second film, had been attached to return, but soon decided to work on Jem And The Holograms instead. Casino Royale filmmaker Martin Campbell also had meetings about taking on the third GI Joe movie.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is set to reprise his role as Roadblock in the third film, the follow-up to 2013 sequel GI Joe: Retaliation.
The third GI Joe film, written by Jonathan Lemkin, is expected to be released in 2016.
