Dubai censors Arnie and Sly film
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger's latest film has been censored in Dubai because it includes Arabic swear words.
Officials broke up a screening of Escape Plan by shutting off the film at the cinema where it was showing after a character was heard swearing in Arabic according to Dubai newspaper The National.
Dubai Media Council apparently asked cinemas in the Emirates to stop screening the film, but a uthorities quickly censored the swearing and the revised version was back on screens within hours.
Escape Plan features Sly and Arnie trying to escape from a futuristic, fortified prison.
Before films are shown in Emirates cinemas, Arab governments around the region censor them for content, often cutting out sex scenes, kissing and comments thought to be blasphemous.
