Farrell, Weisz up for The Lobster
Co lin Farrell and Rachel Weisz are set to star in romantic drama The Lobster.
Ben Whishaw, Olivia Colman and Lea Seydoux have also signed up for the film, which will mark the English-language debut of Oscar-nominated Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos.
"I'm very grateful to have the opportunity to work with such great actors. Their contribution to our film will enrich and expand the world we are trying to create and explore," the director told The Hollywood Reporter.
"Furthermore our team of old and new collaborators makes me very confident and excited to start making this film."
The Lobster, which has been written by the director and Efthimis Filippou, is described as an "unconventional love story set in a dystopian future where finding a partner is a matter of life or death."
Yorgos, who made Dogtooth and Alps, will also reunite with actresses Ariane Labed (Alps) and Aggeliki Papoulia (Dogtooth) on the project.
Shooting is scheduled to start on March 24 in Ireland.
Colin, who won a Golden Globe for his performance in In Bruges, was last seen in Disney's Saving Mr Banks. The Irish star will next appear in Winter's Tale alongside Russell Crowe and Jessica Brown Findlay, and Miss Julie opposite Jessica Chastain.
Rachel, who won an Oscar and Golden Globe for her turn in The Constant Gardener, previously starred with her husband Daniel Craig in the Broadway production of Betrayal, which finished its run on January 5.
