The turbo-charged heist drama - part of the Fast And Furious franchise and starring Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson - pushed the pedal to the metal a month ago and never looked back.
Thor and its internationally-appealing cast has continued to generate solid word-of-mouth in 53 territories with a fourth weekend gross of 24.3 million dollars, propelling the super-hero epic to 351.7 million in worldwide revenue.
Debuting internationally in sixth place with 5.5 million dollars for the weekend is the latest film from director Woody Allen. Midnight in Paris played strongly in just three overseas territories, reflecting the fact that Woody has always been a favourite with world audiences.
Also in the top five, according to Hollywood.com, were Paul Bettany's Priest, taking 15.5 million dollars, Anne Hathaway's animated bird tale Rio (11.4 million) and Water For Elephants, starring Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon (9.9 million).
