Ferrell was typist for Anchorman 2
Anchorman director Adam McKay has revealed that when he and Will Ferrell sit down together to write scripts, he dictates while Will acts as his typist.
Adam and Will have a production company together and wrote the script for the recently released Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
The director, who also worked on the original Anchorman film, said: "People are always surprised when I say Will types, he's the typist.
"I actually sit on the couch and we both kind of talk the scenes out loud."
He joked: "I like it - I dictate to Will Ferrell."
Will confirmed: "I type, I get him coffee, I'm somewhat like his valet. I make sure that his laundry and shirts are pressed. That's how we work."
Adam also gave hope to Anchorman fans that there could be a third film in the series if the second one did well enough.
He said: "I just love how this second movie came about, which was basically all the fans demanding it and asking for it over and over and over again, to the point where Will and I finally said maybe we do this.
"So I'd like it to somewhat follow that track for a third one, like let's let it be released, let's let it go on TV, let's let people get DVDs and watch it and watch it and then, if a year and a half from now, if everyone's saying do a third one, do a third one, we would certainly listen."
