Fillion set for Guardians cameo
Nathan Fillion is to make a cameo appearance in Guardians Of The Galaxy.
Director James Gunn confirmed the Castle star's participation in the upcoming Marvel Studios movie on Twitter, describing the role: "@nathanfillion has a very small fun cameo he did as a favour to me."
Nathan previously hinted that he would appear in the film's credits, and there were rumours he would play cosmic hero Nova, which James denied.
"The rumours of my pal @NathanFillion playing Nova in #guardiansofthegalaxy have been greatly (and entirely) exaggerated. Sorry, humans," he wrote, adding: "I would never & have never lied to fans."
Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro will star in Guardians Of The Galaxy, which will be released on July 31 in the UK.
It's not the first time Nathan, best known for playing crime-solving writer Richard Castle, has been involved in the superhero world. He previously voiced Green Lantern/Hal Jordan in the direct-to-video films, and was the voice of Steve Trevor in a Wonder Woman direct-to-video movie.
