Fright Night cast praise Tennant

David Tennant has made quite an impression on his Fright Night co-stars.

The Scottish actor - best known for his previous incarnation of Doctor Who - takes on the role of flamboyant vampire expert Peter Vincent in the remake of the cult horror movie, and the film's lead, Anton Yelchin, described him in glowing terms.

"David's wonderful. He's the nicest man, just charming and funny and really, really bright and just a pleasure to be around and work with," he enthused at a special screening of the film in Los Angeles.

Kick-Ass star Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who plays Evil Ed in the horror comedy, admitted David steals the scene.

"He owns this. He's fantastic in this movie, he's hilarious, and a great actor as well," he said.

Fright Night stars Anton as teenager Charley, whose life rapidly spirals out of control when vampire Jerry, played by Colin Farrell, moves in next door to him.

The film opens in UK cinemas from September 2.
