Game of Thrones season 6 official full trailer has finally dropped and Jon Snow is still dead

Warning: Mature content

The first full trailer for Game of Thrones season 6 has finally been released by HBO and it features Jon Snow - but only as a corpse.

The video, set to a cover version of Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, appears to address the Jon Snow rumours by showing a shot of his body at Castle Black with the narration "He's gone".

And Tyrion has some chilling words to spice things up: "You’re in the great game now, and the great game is terrifying."

The trailer can be viewed above.

Kitt Harington's character was stabbed and left looking very much dead by his own Night's Watch comrades after he joined forces with the Wildings to help repel and flee the White Walkers at Hardhome last season.

Fans are desperate to learn the fate of Kit Harrington's Snow after his apparent death was rumoured not to be the end for his character.

Some reports reckon Jon Snow might have 'warged', embodying the mind, of his direwolf Ghost. Others think Melisandre will channel the Lord of Light and revive him so he can lead the northern armies against the Boltons, but really, no-one knows anything.

Speculation for season six is particularly rife as the HBO series has now overtaken George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels.

Series six of the hit HBO fantasy drama, shot mainly in Northern Ireland, starts on 24 April on HBO and Sky Atlantic.
