Game of Thrones could be made into a film, says Tywin Lannister actor
Game of Thrones could be set to make the leap from the small screen to cinemas, one of the hit fantasy drama’s stars has hinted.
Charles Dance — who plays villainous patriarch Tywin Lannister in HBO’s epic tale filmed in Northern Ireland — told the Daily Beast: “There’s talk of eventually trying to do a feature film, but I don’t know which of the storylines.
“There’s so much to cram into a film.”
Earlier this year, Thrones author George RR Martin also suggested a movie could be in the works. “It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know,” he said.
