George Clooney is rumoured to be the latest star being courted to make a cameo in the new Muppets movie.
The Hollywood heartthrob would appear as himself at a fictional film premiere for Michael Clayton 2 - an unlikely sequel to his Oscar-nominated eponymous role - where he'd be interviewed by different Muppets, acoording to Australian movie blog What's Playing.
The sequence would have to be filmed before Christmas, after which George begins work directing and starring in political drama Ides Of March, adapted from the Broadway play Farragut North.
The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made is currently filming in Los Angeles at the moment, starring Amy Adams and Jason Segel, who co-wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller, as a man who helps reunite the Muppets to put on a show in order to save a movie studio.
Among stars being sought to cameo in the film, directed by Flight Of The Conchords James Bobin, are Alan Arkin, Jack Black, Billy Crystal, Zach Galifianakis, Lady Gaga and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
But Glee star Jane Lynch has already denied reports she is to appear in the movie as a prison guard.
She told the Hollywood Reporter: "I'm not doing the Muppets movie - they haven't asked me. I would do it if they asked me."
