Rupert Grint looks set to swap quidditch for football, for a new film about Bolton Wanderers football club.
Described as "the next King's Speech", Wartime Wanderers will focus on the heroic exploits of the club's first team, who marched off the pitch to join the army in 1939, after a rousing speech by captain Harry Goslin.
The Harry Potter star, best known for his portrayal of boy wizard Ron Weasley, is expected to play a footballer, alongside Jonathan Pryce as the club's manager Charles Foweraker, according to the film's website.
Matthew McNulty, Sean McGuire and Bradley Walsh are also set to appear in the film.
Football fans are encouraged to get involved by investing. In return, they will appear as extras in the crowd scenes, attend the gala premiere and aftershow party, and meet the team.
Wartime Wanderers is expected to start filming in late summer, for a release in summer 2012.
