Helms: Hangover 3 in development
Ed Helms has revealed that work is still underway for The Hangover 3.
The American actor, who next stars in comedy drama Jeff Who Lives At Home, admitted that the third and final instalment of the hit movies is still in progress.
"We're just not there yet. We'll have to see what happens," he told The Playlist.
Ed - who looks set to reprise his role as Dr Stu Price in the forthcoming follow-up - is keeping his cards close to his chest regarding the storyline, which is rumoured to be centred around Alan's (Zach Galifianakis) escape from a mental institution.
"I will neither confirm nor deny anything about Hangover 3 other than the fact that we want it to happen," he said.
His quotes contradict co-star Bradley Cooper, who had previously revealed that a shoot for The Hangover 3 is planned for the autumn.
"I hope we're going to start shooting in September. I know Todd Phillips is working on the script," he told Graham Norton on his chat show.
The actor, who plans to return to his role as teacher Phil Wenneck, added: "We adhered to the formula in the second one, [and] the third would close the trilogy. I think it'll take place in LA and not adhere to the structure, it might be different."
