Hemsworth joins Aussie director
Liam Hemsworth could be collaborating with fellow Australian Robert Luketic soon, the director has hinted.
The Legally Blonde filmmaker, who also directed Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher in Killers, revealed the Hunger Games actor has joined the cast of his as-yet-untitled movie.
"I can't really talk about it but we have had a couple of meetings and he has formally come on board," he told Australia's The Daily Telegraph.
Details are scant but Robert - who was born in Sydney - said: "It will be shot in New York and Mumbai."
The director admitted he's waiting for the right opportunity to work in his hometown.
His planned heist film Brilliant was scheduled to shoot in the Australian city this year, with Eric Bana in the lead role, and while Scottish star Gerard Butler has stepped in to replace him, Robert said he can't confirm when or where the film will be shot.
"I've had a couple of attempts. I have two films competing with each other," he said.
"It's now a matter of the stars coming into alignment and small miracles being performed."
