Hendricks joins cast of Drive
Christina Hendricks, the actress who shot to fame as office manager Joan on Mad Men, has joined the cast of new thriller Drive, according to reports.
The film, adapted from the James Sallis crime novel, already stars Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan, according to Variety.
Directed by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, Drive follows the story of a talented stunt driver (Ryan) who has a risky side life as a getaway driver for gangs who rob banks.
When he agrees to help the boyfriend of his neighbour (Carey) pull off his latest crime, the job goes wrong and he and the woman go on the run.
The cast also features the likes of Bryan Cranston, Albert Brooks and Oscar Isaacs, and it's not yet known what role the famously curvy Christina, 35, who is about to appear in the Katherine Heigl comedy Life As We Know It, will be playing.
Filming is expected to begin this month around LA.
