Celia Imrie has revealed that she has been having a ball shooting The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel 2.
Returning cast members Dame Judi Dench, Dame Maggie Smith and Bill Nighy have been filming the sequel in India, where they were joined by new co-stars Richard Gere and Tamsin Greig.
"I've been working in India so it's an Indian tan," the actress said of her glowing complexion.
When asked what fans can expect from the next instalment, she added: "Another delight, I hope. I certainly am very proud to be in it anyway."
Celia played a thrill-seeking grandmother on the look-out for a new husband in John Madden's 2012 comedy drama, which focused on a group of British pensioners who decide to live out their retirement years in India.
The original film, which also starred Dev Patel, Tom Wilkinson and Penelope Wilton, was a surprise hit earning more than £82 million at the box office worldwide having been made for around £6 million.
The sequel, which will be released in 2015, will pick up where the first film left off, and features Indian hotelier Sonny (Dev) preparing for his marriage to Sunaina (Tena Desae).
Celia will next reunite with her Nanny McPhee co-star Emma Thompson and long-time friend Timothy Spall in The Love Punch, which opens in cinemas on April 18.
"It's a slightly old-fashioned caper and it's a hell of a lot of fun," she said.
She added: "It was delicious (working with Emma), because I had worked with her before and she gave me one of the best jobs I've ever had. And I'm mad about being Mrs Timothy Spall for the length of the job."
