The Incredibles are set for another big-screen outing, after Disney announced they are working on a sequel.
Walt Disney Company chief Bob Iger revealed that a follow-up to the 2004 superhero movie, The Incredibles, is on the cards during the company's shareholder's meeting in Portland, Oregon, reported Variety.
Brad Bird, who directed the first film, is writing the long-awaited sequel.
T he Incredibles, featuring the voices of Brad, Holly Hunter and Samuel L Jackson, made over 630 million US dollars at the box office when it was released.
Bob also announced that Cars 3 and a sequel to Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, are in the works, with Finding Dory scheduled for release in 2016. N o further details of storyline or release dates have been revealed for the upcoming films.
Disney-Pixar later tweeted: "It's official: we're currently working on new films featuring your favourite characters from The Incredibles and Cars!"
In addition to the new films, Disney also plans to re-release 3D versions of The Incredibles and Ratatouille.
Pixar's upcoming films include 2015′s Inside Out, which takes place inside the mind of an 11-year-old girl, and The Good Dinosaur.
