Irish star Barry Keoghan among Variety's '10 actors to watch'
Irish star Barry Keoghan has been listed among Variety's '10 actors to watch for 2017' list.
The former Love/Hate star made the Hollywood publication's annual watch list following a critically acclaimed turn in Christopher Nolan's war epic Dunkirk, alongside Cillian Murphy and Harry Styles.
The Dublin-born star is also set to appear with fellow Irish actor Colin Farrell and actress Nicole Kidman in The Killing of a Sacred Deer this November.
The film won the Best Screenplay award at this year's Cannes Festival.
Keoghan appears on the 2017 Variety list with English actor Daniel Kaluuya, who recently appeared in Get Out; The Big Sick's Kumail Nanjiani; Kiersey Clemons, who is set to appear in Justice League; and Patti Cake$ star Danielle Macdonald.
Other stars who have appeared on Variety's 'actors to watch' list include Adrien Brody, Viola Davis, Brie Larson, Octavia Spencer and Lupita Nyong'o - as well as Irish stars Eve Hewson and Stuart Townsend.
Keoghan got his big break into acting as the 'cat killer' Wayne in RTE's Love/Hate in 2013
He also appeared in Yann Demange's Northern Ireland-based film '71 in 2014, as well as roles in The Lobster and Mammal.
