Jason Flemyng has revealed he's delighted to be starring in Great Expectations - because his children can finally watch one of his films.
The actor, who has starred in gritty movies like Snatch, Layer Cake and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, plays Joe Gargery in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic novel.
And the Wild Bill star - who is sporting impressive sideburns for the role - said at the BFI London Film Festival: "It's going great, I'm absolutely loving it. We've got a great cast, like Ralph Fiennes, and it's exciting and good fun.
"It's going to be great for Christmas. It's exciting that I've found a film I can actually bring the kids to watch for once."
Jason worked alongside his pal Dexter Fletcher on Wild Bill, with Dexter making his directorial debut.
"He's my greatest, oldest friend. It's so nice to kind of go full-circle and have him directing us. Between us we've made 150 films now and it's fantastic to get one of us behind the camera," Jason added.
