Jeremy Renner to be King Of Heists

Jeremy Renner is to star in King Of Heists, about one of the greatest bank robberies in American history.

The Hurt Locker star - who earned an Oscar nomination for his role in Ben Affleck's heist movie The Town - has been cast as the lead in the film adaptation of J. North Conway's non-fiction book about the robbery, reports.

Jeremy will play George Leslie, who came to New York in 1878 pretending to be a well-to-do gentleman. He then secretly recruited a crew and masterminded a heist of nearly three million dollars in cash and securities from the Manhattan Savings Institution.

Jeremy will help produce the movie with his The Combine partner Don Handfield and Black Bear Pictures' Teddy Schwarzman.

Will Staples, who wrote the Call Of Duty video game, will write the screenplay.
