Johnson: 50 Shades prep is boring
Dakota Johnson has admitted she is finding preparing for her racy role in Fifty Shades Of Grey a little boring.
The 24-year-old actress told Vanity Fair that she had been trying to get into the head of her character Anastasia Steele, an English student at university, and that the background reading wasn't always thrilling.
She said of her research: "A lot of getting into the character's head, Ana's headspace, kind of before she meets Christian. So it's a lot of reading, which I love, but she's an English major, so that's kind of boring."
Dakota also said she was steering clear of discussing the role adapted from EL James' erotic novels with her parents, Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson.
She said: "I think that I would love to have them experience it with me, but I can't really do that, just because of what it entails. I talk to them more about problems with my landlords. That's my talking point with my family."
