Johnson wants to take on Star Wars
Dwayne Johnson has revealed that he would love a role in the new Star Wars films.
The 40-year-old, currently on the big screen in GI Joe: Retaliation, wants the opportunity to star in JJ Abrams' upcoming Episode VII.
"When I was a kid, I (imagined I) was Han Solo and Boba Fett. I would love to do it, sure. I've got an emotional connection to Star Wars. So, Jedi, Sith, you got it," he said.
"Boba Fett could work. But it can't be the Boba Fett as we know. There's got to be a cross between a Sith and a Jedi. We've got to create it."
Dwayne, who is also known by his wrestling moniker The Rock, has already worked his magic on franchises such as The Mummy and Fast And Furious, as well as Be Cool, the sequel to 1995's Get Shorty, and the GI Joe sequel.
"It really comes down to whether I love the script and if I could elevate it a little bit. If I can help in any way, I will do it," he admitted.
He reckons he would also like to step into Daniel Craig's famous tuxedo as James Bond.
"I love that franchise. Daniel Craig has been great. My grandfather was a baddie in You Only Live Twice with Sean Connery. So he kind of opened up the doors in my mind a little bit," he said.
"Here's my idea: chase down Daniel Craig and then become the new Bond. That's never going to happen, OK, but go ahead."
Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum and Adrianne Palicki also star in GI Joe: Retaliation, which is in cinemas now.
