Jones to be in Star Wars spin-off?
Felicity Jones is among a trio of actresses vying for a role in the Star Wars spin-off.
The Oscar-nominated actress, nominated for best actress for The Theory Of Everything, is said to be in the running alongside Rooney Mara and Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany.
All three are thought to be in various stages of auditions or being eyed for the film's lead, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The as-yet-untitled spin-off will be directed by Godzilla and Monsters filmmaker Gareth Edwards, with production expected to get under way later this year.
While Felicity is on the 'want list', there could be scheduling issues as she is due to shoot Ron Howards' Da Vinci Code sequel Inferno in the coming months.
The Star Wars spin-off will be released in December next year, after JJ Abrams' seventh instalment Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
It will be followed by Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII in December 2017, and Josh Trank's spin-off.
Felicity will next star in legal thriller True Story with James Franco and Jonah Hill, and Eran Creevy's action-thriller Autobahn alongside Nicholas Hoult and Sir Anthony Hopkins.
