Anna Kendrick has revealed she couldn't stay in the same room as Johnny Depp, because of his "famous force field".
The Pitch Perfect star, who plays Cinderella alongside Johnny as the Big Bad Wolf in Rob Marshall's big-screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's musical Into The Woods, admitted she left the recording studio when he made his entrance.
"I didn't see Johnny sing. I met him in the recording studio and ran away from him because he's that kind of famous that you're like, 'Oh my God. I'm repelled'," she told MTV.
"It's like, 'You have a famous force field.' He's obviously incredibly sweet, but I was like, 'I should not be in this room'."
Anna did manage to catch a glimpse of Meryl Streep belting out a tune on set, along with her co-star James Corden (The Baker).
"I got to be on set for watching Meryl sing Last Midnight, which is her kind of swan song, I guess. It was so intense," she said.
"James Corden, who is in that scene with me pointed out that you could auction off watching Meryl Streep sing Last Midnight and raise so much money. We just got to be there. We're just the goons who got to be in the room, which was incredible."
Emily Blunt, Chris Pine and Lucy Punch also star in Into The Woods, which will be released in December.
