Kevin Spacey came close tears on the red carpet in Hollywood as he premiered Casino Jack at this year's AFI Fest in Hollywood.
The Hollywood actor choked up speaking about the shock death of the film's 47-year-old director George Hickenlooper last week.
"This whole week has been very up and down, very strange, very difficult to even come to terms with it. I'm not even sure I have," the 51-year-old Oscar-winner admitted.
The Factory Girl filmmaker passed away in his sleep from natural causes.
Kevin told reporters he'd had the best time collaborating with Hickenlooper on the movie, based around the career of Washington DC lobbyist and businessman Jack Abramoff who was involved in a massive corruption scandal in 2006.
"It was a great experience, a remarkable time. George is dearly missed by all of us, a great filmmaker, great collaborator, very funny guy and I can't quite believe he's not with us," Kevin explained.
