Kristen Wiig to tackle action role?
Kristen Wiig could be showing off her physical skills in an upcoming action-comedy by The Descendants' Nat Faxon and Jim Rash.
The Bridesmaids star is said to be attached to a lead role in the as-yet-untitled movie from the duo, who triumphed in the best adapted screenplay category at the Oscars, reported Variety.
Kristen, who lost out to Woody Allen for the best original screenplay award, is a graduate of the Los Angeles improvisation troupe The Groundlings, alongside the two writers.
Details are scarce on the project, which is still in early stages.
The 38-year-old - who starred in and co-wrote Bridesmaids with Annie Mumolo - next appears in ensemble comedy Friends With Kids, which reunites her with former co-stars Jon Hamm, Maya Rudolph and Chris O'Dowd.
She has a number of forthcoming films to her name, including a voice role in the How To Train Your Dragon sequel, and roles in Imogene, The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty and Freezing People Is Easy.
